The BasicsOur first stop in DC was the Tesla Store. While we were here, we were able to interact with Tesla employees to discuss the innovation and culture of their company. We discussed how Tesla is able to make their cars different from others by creating such an efficient electric motor. This innovation allowed them to lead the market with electric cars. Another innovation we discussed is related to the advanced technology used in Tesla cars. An example of this is the sensory technology allowing them to be one of the safest cars on the road. After visiting Tesla, we all learned how important innovation is to create technology thats different from one companies competitors. This allows these companies to expand their consumers by creating a product thats different and superior to their competition.

Inside LookThis picture was taken from inside of one of Tesla's cars, the Model S. This car is not only electric, but is also one of the most technologically advanced cars out there. As you can see in the picture, the large touchscreen allows the user to see may different features of the car such as power usage. It also allows the user to see the camera and different sensors to ensure the driver does not run into anything. This advanced technology makes the Model S and other Tesla cars the safest on the road.

Other Operations
While at Tesla we discovered that they did more than just make cars. Tesla is also in the business of home energy with this solar powered battery that runs your house. This is an overlooked product of Tesla's that could be better advertised to show Tesla's company value of clean energy and alternative products to just cars.

Tesla's Team
We had the chance to meet Chris Garcia one of the workers at Tesla, who was willing to answer some of our questions. We learned that the culture there is very goal oriented and petty individual recognition isn't really prevalent. The people on the team are dedicated more so to solving global issues than being a car company, although they proclaim to be the best at that as well. Chris stated that technology, culture, and people all need to adapt if were going to survive the Global Warming crisis.
